Uni HAS been busy! Now, I’m on holidays! This is a good time to reflect on the amazing time I had first semester. There are so many people who go to uni, both from different and similar backgrounds. I feel like I’ve met so many people but there’s just so many more people I haven’t gotten the chance to talk to yet! It’s good that I love meeting people and there’s still a few years of uni left! :) I’m so glad I did go out of my way to meet many people – because out of these people I have discovered amazing friends. :)
Uni hasn’t been a great motivator for me to be consistent in blogging. I shouldn’t blame it though – I am responsible for my actions and whether I am consistent or not. But even if I failed then – I will try again :) Success is about how many times you can get back up (though it would be more poignant used in a more significant failure and example of resilience – you can apply lessons learnt from big things in an everyday context and vice versa).
And this week?
I learnt or had shown to me (again, because many people demonstrate it) what it was to be considerate and to involve people so they wouldn’t be left out. It was small – but because of it – the person who demonstrated that kindness has now become one of my favourite people.
Another person showed me that a good time can be made better if you keep a genuine smile on your face. I mean your physiology body language affects how you feel and it also affects how others feel. So why not be amiable with a smile? This was reiterated when a customer came in talking about how a Happy Meal toy made her daughter so happy. Her genuine happiness when she talked about it just included us in her world. The cherry on top was when she thanked us for serving her as an indirect form of appreciation for us taking our time to listen to her. So the other lesson learnt there is being grateful for the time others give you. It also makes everyone feel better. :)
Until next time, thanks for reading! :) (See what I did there?)
