Post 100HappyDays
Also post on blog
I have finally finished the 100 Happy Days Challenge where I took a photo of something that made me happy and posted it onto a social media platform (mine being Facebook) everyday for 100 days. You can learn more at 100HappyDays.com.
Doing the 100 Happy Days challenge was pretty amazing. My life is not always happy. Far from it. But I like how I’ve chosen to take an active stand and focus the good side.
Although most days when doing this challenge I found myself looking for things to be my 100HappyDays, I loved how sometimes I got hit with awesome things that I didn’t expect. I think that has to be my 100HappyDays and I really got to appreciate it more than if I had not taken on this challenge.
Most of my 100HappyDays posts have been with people. One of the most sustainable ways to be happy is through positive relationships with others. There is too much materialism and superficiality in the world for our own good. Most things we acquire through money may bring us happiness – but that happiness is only temporary. Another source of happiness are the memories from having amazing experiences.
At first 100HappyDays was exciting to do. However, being honest, at around Day 25 it became a chore. But now? It has become a habit – and generally – a good habit because I am more attuned to be appreciative. So I’ve decided to continue (just not post it onto Facebook) because in terms of being positive and showing more gratitude among other things I still have a long while to go but I am optimistic that life is meant to be fulfilling and joyous. Come at me #200HappyDays.
Although the challenge is great, I think to just recall or write down the things you are grateful for and that made you happy each day can make a significant impact on wellbeing.
